Broadway Media (BMD) provides digital scenery, choreography guides, bodymic rentals, and stage gear for theatre productions worldwide. We serve schools, community theatres, colleges, professional theatres, and licensed productions across the US, UK, and Australia.

## Projector Calculator

Find the right projector for your stage based on image size and throw ratio. Enter your stage width to see the image height and recommended mounting distance, work backwards from a known projector distance to find image width, or enter a custom throw ratio for your own ultra short-throw projector. Results can be downloaded as a PDF. The calculator does not compute brightness or lumens - when brightness is a concern, choose the brighter option.

### Projector Guidelines

- Economy Projector - image up to 28 ft wide (0.24 throw ratio)
- Basic Stage Projector - image between 28 and 40 ft wide (0.35 throw ratio)
- Premium/Plus Stage Projector - image over 40 ft wide (0.35 throw ratio)

### Reference Formulas

- Distance = Throw Ratio x Width
- Width = Distance / Throw Ratio
- Height = Width x (9/16)
