# Broadway Media ## About Us Broadway Media (BMD) provides digital scenery, choreography guides, bodymic rentals, and stage gear for theatre productions worldwide. We serve schools, community theatres, colleges, professional theatres, and licensed productions across the US, UK, and Australia. # StagePlayer 3.0 Your show is already cued. Just press GO. StagePlayer turns prepared theatrical media into a simple, performance-ready cue workflow. Open your production, connect your display, and run the show with confidence. ## Designed for the person actually running the booth StagePlayer is powerful underneath, but the live-performance experience stays focused. A first-time student operator should not have to understand codecs, file paths, or playback-window management to run professionally prepared projection content. ## Built for a show, not a playlist Cueing projections yourself means hunting down every video, sorting action clips from loops, and timing each one to the script. [Scenic Projections](https://www.broadwaymedia.com/scenic-projections) arrive in StagePlayer with all of it done: every scene, loop, and transition pre-cued to your script. ## How it works 1. Your shows, ready and waiting: every show you license from Broadway Media appears in your StagePlayer library, ready to download, already cued to your script page by page. 2. You call the show: every decision stays with you. Your screen holds the cues, a preview, and the performance controls; your audience sees only the show. 3. Check the picture: choose the output, align a test pattern, then return to your pre-show look before the house opens. 4. Run the show: Current and Next tell you where you are, GO advances the cue, and Blackout, Pause, Jump, and End Performance are there for rehearsal and recovery. ## Ready for real theatre - The show moves at your pace: each scene holds on a loop until your actors are ready; jump anywhere in rehearsal and export the cue sheet for your stage manager. - Hands stay on the keys: GO (Space), Blackout (Shift+B), and Pause (Shift+P) by default, and you can choose your own shortcuts. - Big stage? Use every projector: drive several projectors from one computer and watch every output from the control window. - Fade to black on a keystroke, or automatically at the end of every scene or act. - Preset vignettes and masks fit the picture to your set. - Built-in test patterns to line up every projector before the audience arrives. - Upload your own video and images to play alongside your rented scenes. ## New in 3.0 - Retime any scene: adjust loop and action video timing and speed, or switch a transition to a hard cut, so the projections follow your staging. - Works alongside QLab in supported configurations (incoming port 53001, outgoing port 53000). - Virtual outputs: spread one picture across up to three projectors. - Mask Creator: trace custom shapes around arches, flats, and set pieces. - Setup check: estimates projection frame rate and warns about low storage or an overdue restart. - Zoom with a pin point, and in-app updates with rollback. - Interface language choice and access-key sign-in. ## Questions and answers ### Is StagePlayer a video player? StagePlayer plays theatrical media, but its workflow is built around a show and its cues rather than around manually opening individual files. ### Do I need to program every cue myself? Prepared productions can arrive with their show media and cue structure ready to run. Editing options may be available where the production and permissions allow them. ### Can the audience see the StagePlayer controls? StagePlayer is designed to separate the operator interface from the audience-facing output when the display system is configured correctly. ### What does GO do? GO advances the prepared cue sequence according to the programmed cue behavior. ### What is Blackout? Blackout removes the visual output from the audience display without ending the performance session. ### What is the difference between Pause and Blackout? Pause holds supported playback. Blackout changes what the audience sees. They are different recovery tools. ### Can I skip ahead in rehearsal? StagePlayer includes a Jump function for supported rehearsal and recovery workflows. Verify Current and Next after moving ahead. ### Can I test my projector before the show? Yes. StagePlayer includes output-testing and calibration tools in the StagePlayer 3.0 build. ### What is Curtain Warmer? Curtain Warmer provides an intentional pre-show visual state before the performance begins. ### Does StagePlayer support keyboard shortcuts? Yes. Core performance actions have keyboard shortcuts, and StagePlayer 3.0 includes shortcut settings. ### What if media is missing? StagePlayer can surface missing-media warnings. Resolve them before performance and preview affected cues whenever possible. ### Does StagePlayer integrate with QLab? StagePlayer 3.0 contains integration functionality for supported advanced configurations. Exact availability should be confirmed for the customer's build and workflow. ## Get StagePlayer Version v2.22.0, released September 10, 2026.
