Once Upon a One More Time is a jukebox musical featuring songs by pop sensation Britney Spears. While gathered at a reading group for fairy-tale princesses, Cinderella wishes for a new kind of story. A fairy godmother grants her wish, introducing the enchanted land of The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan. Other princesses, such as Snow White, the Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and the Princess and the Pea become emboldened by its message and gain a new perspective of themselves. They realize that waiting around to be rescued or kissing a prince isn’t the only way to a happy ending. Once Upon a One More Time redefines the meaning of “happily ever after” with a modern spin on the heroines of Grimm’s Fairy Tales set to the hits of the Princess of Pop. Sing along to “Toxic,” “Circus,” “Oops I Did it Again,” and more, and step into the pages of this colorful and vibrant fantasy world with Scenic Projections.
