Evan Hansen is a socially anxious seventeen-year-old who has felt invisible his entire life—what he calls “waving through a window.” When tragedy strikes his high school and community, Evan unexpectedly becomes the center of a growing controversy, gaining a chance to matter and to connect with his crush, Zoe. But how far can he go before the truth catches up with him?
