Come From Away

Based on a true story, Come from Away is a remarkable, heartwarming musical that celebrates lifelong friendships, newfound connections, and compassion for one another. What begins as an average day in the small, isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, turns into an international event. On September 11, 2001, over three dozen planes carrying thousands of people from across the globe were diverted to Gander’s airstrip. Unfazed by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander welcomed the stranded travelers with music, drinks, and warmth. As the mayor of Gander professes at the end: "Tonight we honor what was lost, but we also commemorate what we found."
